Hello! My name is Diliara, and I embarked on my journey as a nail technician in Russia back in 2017. I used to face challenges with gel applications as they wouldn't last long on my nails. Determined to overcome this issue, I enrolled in manicure classes to acquire the necessary skills. With the aspiration of moving to the U.S., I made my way to New York in 2018 to pursue a career as a nail technician.

Since then, I have been on a continuous learning path, having completed over 30 different classes to expand my knowledge and expertise. In addition to that, I took the initiative to establish my own studio in Queens, where I train nail technicians in my unique E-file technique.

Currently, I am focusing on developing my own training courses and working on a manual book dedicated to sharing my distinctive technique. I am passionate about elevating the standards of nail care and empowering fellow professionals through my knowledge and experiences.

January 2019 - December 2019

I opened my own salon and made many mistakes, realizing that I am not just a nail technician but also a business owner. Now, I am learning about management and marketing. I have developed unified quality standards and personally train each new employee upon hiring. I have built an excellent team of like-minded individuals. I believe that our company is at the forefront of our industry, and together we can improve the quality of nail services through continuous skill development.

I found a room in a beauty salon and moved in. I started to set it up by painting the walls, changing the flooring, and purchasing furniture. However, just as I was getting ready to start working, the quarantine began. Unfortunately, for four months, I couldn't work and had to continue paying rent for the space. During this time, I dedicated myself to learning and personal development.

After the quarantine was lifted, I resumed work with renewed energy. People started approaching me to learn my techniques, and I gained my first students and employees.

I was fortunate to find a job as a nail technician in one of the first salons offering Russian manicure services. It was a great opportunity, and I was thrilled about it. However, I was only making around $7 per hour. It reached a point where I considered giving up on my profession due to financial constraints.

Fortunately, my friends came to my support. They continued to ask me to do their nails at home and were kind enough to pay for my services. Their support not only provided me with a source of income but also reignited my passion for nail care.

With the encouragement of my friends and their willingness to support me, I found a way to keep practicing my profession. Through offering home-based nail services, I regained my confidence and started to see the potential to build a client base.

I am grateful for the unwavering support of my friends, as they played a significant role in helping me overcome the challenges I faced. Their belief in my skills and their willingness to be my clients at home kept my passion alive and allowed me to continue pursuing my dream as a nail technician.

September 2017- January 2019

After completing my initial nail classes, I felt that I needed more knowledge and skills. Since I couldn't afford to take more classes, I decided to become a nail model for various training sessions, where I absorbed as much information as I could. In Russia, I practiced doing nails for my friends and family at home.

When I arrived in New York in May 2018, I brought 7 bottles of gel with me to do my own nails. As word got out, my friends started asking me to do their nails too. It was through these opportunities and the support of those around me that I gained experience and grew more confident as a nail technician.
